Project Summary:
CFI has so far successfully
conducted numerous workshops and town hall meetings according to the ‘Grant
activity implementation plan’ throughout the West Bank districts. These
districts include:
-
Jerusalem
-
Hebron
-
Nablus
-
Bethlehem
-
Jenin
-
Tulkarim
Among the participants were an expert speaker, decision makers (PNA and PLC
representatives), community leaders, local political leaders, professionals,
civil society institutions’ representatives and ordinary citizens. The
ordinary citizen’s category included professionals, university students,
home makers, women from age 17 and up and youth men aged from 17 to 35.
This project illustrates that the workshops and town hall meetings conducted
has achieved the project’s objective by disseminating information and
enhancing grassroots public involvement in the ongoing PNA reform process.
From the project’s activities we can conclude that Palestinians are
seriously concerned about the PNA’s reform process and its efforts, and
disseminating information about the reform process through public meetings,
electronic and written means have been achieved.
